In this final project in the AutoCAD 3D course at Olympic College in Bremerton, WA, we were assigned the task of creating a mechanical design with more than two moving parts. At this point in time, I really wanted to challenge myself and test my knowledge of the software by pushing the envelope with my abilities using the program.
I decided to create a replica of R2D2. It would consist of multiple parts that would move; its head would swivel and rotate about the trunk, the arms would also rotate and move, and the wheels beneath the feet of the robot would also move.
